Fuel Filter Adapter

I'm looking for advice, i'm thinking of installing a fuel filter adapter to my 2005 LLY Duramax. Be nice to run a better filter. But what about water separation? Will I need to install a aftermarket water separator? Thanks

Donaldson has a few filters that will spin on the Duramax filter adapters that have very efficient water separators also.

Look into a lift pump if you want to do it right. Even if you’re bone stock it’s good for the fuel system.
