EFI and 6.5

Hi,

is it possible to scan a 1996 6.5 with efi?

EFILive supports scanning of 6.5L diesels for OBDII communications only. From memory the switch to OBDII was around 1996, but I'm really not sure of exact year/vehicle cross overs.

Do you know if your truck is OBDI or OBDII?

we tried it some days ago. I used the scan tool and set the communication to gen3. I got 77 sensors after validating pis´s and modules which is only ecm. any thoughts?

Ross is surprized that you got that many from the PCM! Unfortunately, that's as good as it gets.

Attached is a PID listing for a 6.5.
