It actually shouldn't be too bad. New firewall, trans tunnel, motor mounts, trans mount and shit ton of wiring. Here's a pic of one in an s10

1lowdiesel,

Happen to have any more pic's of that S10????

Wondering how much of the firewall had to be taken out. Good news would be that the whole thing should be ~4000-4500lbs. A 4L80E could work with this weight.

personally i would just cut the whole firewall out and build a new one around the motor. Same with the floor or trans tunnel.

Ive been wanting to do this for years but I figured its gonna cost atleast 15k to do it right. i have a custom s-10 rotting away next to my garage. its got smallblock, airride, bodydropped. already got 20k into it and its piece of shit.

I really want to do this as well. But with looking at those pics I think I would really want to move the turbo not much room for the stocker much less a bigger one. But think of how much fun it would be with just a stock motor and some tunning bad a$$ for sure.

yea i agree, i would def remote mount the turbo. If not just for the heat reduction on the firewall.

yea about 2-3" but that's it. Personally i'd run a dry sump and remote mount charger. Then it wouldn't be any bigger than a small block.

I managed to get an LLY/Allison into mine without touching the firewall. It did require moving the column over a bit and removing the HVAC system in favor of a Vintage Air unit and that's with an AC condensor and an intercooler that was meant to be in a ricer. Mine is a 4wd drive with the IFS removed though...Just got to finish it.

I could see it being far more trouble with 2wd though.
