Just saw that someone let the cat out of the bag that carrillo was sending out pistons to test, anyone heard of anything? Didn't get a good look at them so i couldn't tell if the bowl was an oval or not.

Not an oval bowl. Dimitri was boasting on Facebook about a set they sent him to test. The picture looked like a normal bowl, gold colored coating on top I think?
I was wondering why cp didn't have any pistons out yet...considering they supply probably the #1 set of rods for a duramax.
CP Pistons bought carillo rods and la crankshafts in 2008 iirc.

We have a truck that's been running them for a whole season pulling. They are a test set, un sure if they differ from what will be offered to the public or not.

TECHNICAL ELEMENTS
Pistons features include a tapered pin boss to fit factory and aftermarket rods, .070 deep valve reliefs, radius bowl shape, 2mm steel gas nitride top ring, 2mm second ring, and 3mm 2 piece oil ring and Heavy duty .285 wall cold extruded chromoly wrist pins. Pistons are available in std , .020, .040 overbore in both 15 and 16 to 1 compression ratios. After a year and a half of R&D the pistons have been torture tested and withstood 1800+ Hp at the tires.

What is the valve relief on a stock piston? Wonder if they will be offered as unfinished for custom applications.
Then again, they'll be going in a built Dmax. Meaning the budget is already out the door:roflmao:
