Hahaha, I had this conversation last week with my mechanic. Apparently, it's not very easy to find a standard tool set in Costa Rica...:roflmao:

We are so stupid for not adopting the metric system...

Yeah because fractions are so hard!!!

Thankfully I learned them after the sesame street characters taught me my letters and numbers.

I hate the metric system.

I never even looked it's whatever my phone spell checked it to, so blame andriod and blame me for being lazy biu I do know how to spell.

As far as using farenheight or celcius, our trucks temp gauges are measured in farenheight so why not use that...

Fwiw as some of the older folk may remember the US kind of f'd us over back in the 60's IIRC by saying they were going to switch to metric so we needed to and then backed out of it. We stuck with it as most of the rest of the industrialized planet was also already metric. It cost millions back then to do it to.

Myself I can and do work with both units fluently depending on what it is I'm doing. Usually imperial when drilling holes, using bolts, and figuring fuel consumption I go imperial.
