Bought a 2009 LMM this past February, ECSB 4*4 WT package manual everything floor shift Tcase with 265k on it. For probably too much money.. it was lowest priced LBZ/LMM truck at a dealership within 250 miles of me. Needed something to build credit history since I hadn't financed anything since the 07.5 LMM I bought in '13
6 weeks later wrecked it, Tboned the rear of a Pontiac torrent while looking at wrong traffic light.

Insurance let me keep the truck, and we finessed. The write-up to keep it under the considered total value threshold.

Truck's a mess when I got it 😂.
Pretty sure is bounced a few auction lots from upstate NY to Columbus Ohio area.

Lots of rust, rockers are shot, DS floor board is shot, bed is shot, like most screw attachments for taillights are rusted off. Grab rear bed corners and and wiggle whole bed side. Tail gate will fall off looking at it wrong 😂.

Frame was fairly decent considering everything else.
Frame swap is the basic solution.
I've got vast majority of the parts I know are destroyed. During the summer..
Been working on getting other projects moving under their own power this summer my 79 Malibu Wagon and my 75 GMC K25 to make room in my shop.
This long weekend plan on getting LMM staged and new frame 04 ECSB sitting next to it. New frame already has SS brake lines ran.. find out if the 04 ABS module has same fitting threads as the 09 module does

Ideally I'd like to have engine trans tcase whole front clip, front diff steering removed.

Prior to the wreck, there was a lot plane for it. Some already done...Brakes, shocks, tie rods to include upgrade version, ball joints, u joints, GN hitch, 4.10 gears, AX7L equivalent TC, exhaust, intake, at least 33 or 35 tires with either 16 or 17" wheels.. lift pump, EFI live, delete VVT,
Fix rusted body panels. Nocal pinch welded mod

I did have the 305/70/17 on 17*9 that I run on my 02 2500 burb on the truck..rear runs stock 5" BS front runs 6" BS. Basically just crank TBars, the nose is higher then I'd like.

any plans for the bed sides this round or just let it ride till you locate something else and focus on the main swap?

Main focus get new frame and moving under it's own power. New fuel/trans lines are most definite on must be done list.. return fuel line is patched/replaced. Supply surprisingly doesn't break suction for as bad as it looks

No bed for a bit most likely, I doubt I'll get less than 1/2 frame bolts out of that bed to remove it, rest will strip or twist off.. I think the bed liner is holding most of the sides one lol. Not worth the time right now IMO

I have a hard time putting a rust free ~3k bed on it right now, I can get scratched dent some rust beds for 500-1k

Agreed. That seems steep but I am not in the rust belt area...

Whole front clip will be removed prior to pulling cab..
Outside obvious stuff, steering shaft, HYD booster lines, parking/shifting cables, AC lines,
What's the electrical list of connections between body and frame that need disconnected?

There is a chassis harness that runs up the frame to the firewall and fender liner to the fuse box.

Ground for the front clip head light harness on the core support mount of the frame.

I think there is a battery chassis ground somewhere in the front too on the frame rail.

The chassis harness has a main disconnect on the back side of the engine bay fuse box right?
Pictures?
Getting organized to make chaos lol

Yes it has 7mm head I think and is accessed from the bottom of the fuse box. sorry I don't have a picture.
No worries, I'll be looking at it soon enough lol .
Pulled body mount bolts and core support sprung back to the DS Everything was shoved to the PS in the wreck.
Probably call it a night once I get the fenders off

Not really sure I want someone to try and bend this straight.

bummer... yeah frame swap is easier.

Just found a video where the Fuse box on the 9000's lift out so not sure how the chassis harness separates from that area.

Guess you will tell us in the AM !

Bunch of the heat shroud bolt head at done, so pulled the body, 2 (middle) of the 6 body bolts spun the blind nuts. Torched the bolt head off.

That's the part I couldn't see in any pictures or videos.

Sucks to hear about the blind nuts.... Guess you have some more fun ahead of you....

It's little stuff, probably gut the inside and go through the floor to fix at a later date.

Looks like front is diamond between core mounts and cab front mounts.. tie rods and center link currently don't appear to be bent. They'll get replaced eventually.
Thinking on doing these BD setup.. IDK if I'll need cognito braces or not for it.

Shooting to have cab on new frame hopefully tomorrow
