I understand at KOEO they should be within three. My baro was reading 29 and boost sensor reading was 14.4. I'm in mid northern ohio. Do these readings seem right? I am getting p0299 low boost code and I believe this is the problem. Any ideas?

That almost sounds opposite yah know. I'm no expert but I believe your baro should read 14 and boost obviously 0 at an idle or even with engine off key on. Maybe someone else will chime in. I also think boost pressure sensor is calibrated/reads off of baro sensor

Boost reads atmosphere+boost, so with no boost you will see 14 psi all the time. Baro sounds about right

A standard atmosphere table shows that normal pressure at sea level is 29.92 inches of mercury. This decreases to 25.84 inches at 4,000 feet and 24.90 at 5,000 feet.*

i would say those numbers are pretty accurate.

Curious mikediesel, so boost will read 14 with engine off or even engine at idle?

Boost will read whatever atmospheric pressure is where you are at. Sea level reads 14.4-14.7 usually. There are two boost pies in efi live one incorporates atmospheric and the other is real boost.

I was also confusing myself. The 29 is inches of mercury where if converted would come in around 14 in psi

can you even make the scaling in EFI Live read inches of merc?

the baro should be reading what ever outside atmospheric pressure is for where you live. if that log/scan is scaled to psia, there is something wrong with your baro.

EDIT: seems the OP figured it out
