Is it worth it? Im running a stock LB7 CP3 with LBZ reg. When i watch my videos from the track last time im still hazing going down the track. Plus my EGT's are still off the chart! my 1500 degree guage is pegged way before the end of the 1/4. I build about 40 PSI on the 4094R. What about jumping up to the 4294R? what all what i need to change? i know i can reuse the pedistal since they are both T4's. heres the vid. http://benchseatracin.smugmug.com/gallery/7535383_jLDmS#486713677_2a36P-A-LB I know im asking for alot from the stock bottom end but so far shes holding up :D

It isn't really needed, trust you don't have that much more fuel. You going to have to buy a whole new charger. It isn't worth it, with tha much psi you'll need head studs.

x2 42xx is for either twins with stocker or single with dual fuelers

spend the oney on dual fuelers first... or save it for a built short block fund:rolleyes:

If you are going to go to the 42 series I would go with the 4202 to justify the cost and work involved. I ran a GT4202R for a year on a stock engine, no studs, stock cp3 & stock injectors with no problems. I did not add dual cp3 until I built the engine. With the Gt42 or S4 you will lose on the bottom low rpm and will have to keep high rpm for mild towing. :2cents:

I dont tow at all with my truck. It doesnt even have a hitch on it anymore. I only haul some things around. I just thought there might be alittle something to be gained. If i did do it when i built the motor i would keep the turbo and add dual fuelers. I was just kicking the idea around alittle but wanted to ask opinions first.

with that said go for it :D

IMO tho i dont see you gaining mucc over a 4094 to a 4202 with a single cp3

while short on fuelthat does'nt mean there isnt some more to burn , cant really say i know with loads of air you can make alot of power out of very little fuel but you will definatly not touch the turbo's potential . but i think you could pick up some time and drop some egt's as well , maxpowerlb7 is running a 4202 on his truck single cp3 and his times are very close to yours like with in a .10 or less at around 3200 ft D/A so kinda a gamble but you will need to go bigger at some point so why not now :D
i can say the 4202 is awesome maxpowerlb7's truck is explosive he has litt up the tires while going 55 with me in the truck it made me smile ear to ear . my twins are close on power but much smoother not near the same feeling .

I don't know if jumping to the 42 series would help you with a single C, but you wont lose power. Also something to consider, you'll probably want a looser converter.

Call George he drove my truck last night.I think your better off staying the way you are.Your rods are not liking you much at this point think you will be needing a motor if you end up moving to the 42 turbo. We could always put mine on and see how long it lasts. :baby:

IIRC a 4294 is set up similar to my S400. I run a relatively stock fuel system as well.

Boost is around 45-50psi, havent watched it much.

No smoke at all

however as you can see in the second clip of that video, you have to keep the RPMs up.

Mine Lights at 2100RPM, anything under and it feels like a honda civic.

My 1055 torque converter is a perfect match for this charger.

Thanks for the reply's guys. I was just kicking the idea around :D speed is never enough! I know im really making this motor cry right now with it still being on the stock internals. Hey Henry i need to pay it off hopefully before the motor blows up  Hopefully in a month or two i will be done! I run the precision converter now. I will prob leave it alone until i built the motor. Hey Kevin your truck runs really good for being lifted and a ext cab. Im running the stock 245's on mine you have alot more tire then me.

You going to something bigger Henry? i thought about doing twins. I was going to see if Nathan had a kit to use the 4094 as the small turbo. Dont know what id run for a big turbo. Whatever i go to next is gonna be it. Once the motors built i will have plenty of fuel :D

When I checked Nathan did not have anything for the 4094.You could twin it with a 4718.I was thinking of a HTT and the big MPI kit.
