    650-700 seems to be what the Sportsman and equivalent pumps are good for, plenty to break a stock bottom end. I found a lightly used Sportsman from a member on here back in January and I'm really happy with it.

    I would do a Sportsman pump, then the convertor and if your engine goes then you could do another pump over the sportsman later.

    Upgrade expectation

    You would have to retune and I wouldn't bother on a stock trans truck. Merchant makes an adapter to put a gauge where the bleeder screw is. Alligator performance sells that and a 0-30 psi mechanical gauge. I used those to watch mine when i had an lb7 reg.

    Mine doesn't vibrate any more than it ever has at idle, and it runs great at WOT. It's mostly while lightly accelerating at low rpm.

    I've had an intermittent low rpm vibration under load recently. Scares me but it is what it is.

    Upgrade expectation

    Like stated above LB7/LLY fprs dont like more than about 10 psi from a lift pump. When i put my lift pump on I didn't know that and it was set at 15 psi and the fpr went out 3 days later. Mine loped bad at idle though so maybe yours is just unhappy and not shot like mine was.
