Where Does the Dipstick end up?

The question is, "When the dipstick goes into the pan area, does it go into the front section of the pan (in front of the hump in the pan) where the oil will not drain out during an oil change, or into the rear section where the oil would drain out??"

You can see the dip stick just to the left of the pickup screen

That should put it to the right side bottom of the pan in this picture

So to answer your question, it is in the oil that drains but not over the part that remains

Thank you. I was hoping there would be a very easy way to extract more of the 'old' oil. Makes the job a little harder because of this position.

If you’re that concerned about it get an aftermarket pan that solves this problem.
