Last one I installed was from Napa and it hasn't failed so? Most here buy a modified pinned AcDelco. Have you ever done a water pump on a Dmax before?

I'd suggest buying a flywheel lock and a long handle 3/4" ratchet at the least

Why do I keep doing this?

Do NOT buy a cheap water pump. My NAPA pump is over 10 years old, close to 100,000 miles, thru a lot of drag racing abuse back in the day, too....
X3 on all this: Buy the Lisle flywheel tool. A cheap HF 3/4" breaker bar will be needed, too. You'll also need to borrow a torque wrench that'll go up to about 275 ft/lbs.

Personally we only install the DHD/Danville water pumps in all 01-05 trucks here. It's the best of both worlds, OEM hose fitment with the updated resin wheel. I have yet to have a failure on one.
