I found my truck lacking power around the 2K range towing, I am going thru it, converting to LLY but keeping the LB7 turbo. I've seen yellowchevy's post on porting the stock housing, wheels etc, and I was going to just port it, unless anyone has any other ideas. Trans is built so it can handle more power.
I tow a 28ft toy hauler, she weighs around 13K loaded, and its big, lol.

TIA.

The best towing setup IMO is a S475/96/1.15 over stock (or 476). They spool well, offer you room to grow, and are super reliable. The best drop-in turbo for towing heavy in my opinion is a ported/polished stock turbo (stock wheels as well) or a smaller drop in turbo.

Towing with my good friend's LB7 to Iowa and back (~8hrs from the shop) with his 64mm supercore was an absolute dream and the truck never was left wanting more power. Heaviest we've towed with that setup (SAC45/10mm/supercore 64mm/built trans/DHD manifolds and up-pipes) was ~14k and it has been great.
