I just finished a double drain and filter change on my 17 3500. I went to the Transynd fluid. I measured the fluid on the drain, and replaced with the same amount. It was right at the top of the cold band when I checked it per the instructions in the Dmax supplement. I then drove it until I got it up to 173 or so, went home and put it in park with the engine running, and it only registered between the hot and the cold ranges in no mans land. Double and triple checked. Should I be better off Within the hash marks cold or hot????

Texas!!!
At full operating temp on level ground with the engine idling and transmission in park, I prefer to see the fluid toward the lower end of the hot range.

TX of course
I agree with Josh. I pull the stick 3 times in a row and as long as it makes it into the bottom of the Hot hash marked I quit adding fluid.
