Question: Socal balancer

is there a trick to get the balancer on ?????? I checked the measurements on the key and key way and that looks good but it doesn't want to slide on to easy

Are you using the installation tool that comes with it? I use lots of assembly lube on the threads of the tool to keep the friction on the nut to a minimum. I also use a little on the crank snout to help the balancer slide on a little easier. This is what I use: http://www.crcindustries.com/auto/content/prod_detail.aspx?PN=SL3331&S=Y

i didnt get anything with it :( i guess ill have to make a few calls today

Craig you have to buy the install tool it does not come with the balancer think it's 79.00 it's on Guys site at the bottom of the balancer page.

We had one that was tight that would not go on with a installer. We took and polished the snoat of the crank alittle then took a mini brake hone to the balancer then it went on easier with the installer.
