Use your stock center pin as well unless it’s broke

But that other pack also is missing the plastic sliders that keep the springs from gouging into the keepers near the end of the leafs.

I’d send that wrong back and see if you can get the right one like the other. I wouldn’t doubt if spring rate is different too

I guess I never thought about using the center pin that's in my stock leafs. Funny thing is the picture of the product on Dormans website shows no metal spacers between the leafs or the plastic sliders near the ends either go figure, and it's identical to the one.

in that case, you might have lucked out with a litle better one. up to you if you want to try it once you put the shims in there.

also, dont crank the center pin too tight. they are grade 2 bolts.

They are presumably the same part number, so they should be the same, not different. My truck doesn't have 1/8" spacers between the leaves, does yours? Let Amazon know that you have problems with the order.

According to Dorman, the spacers shouldn't be there. Dorman 929-126

Just got off the phone with Dorman tech support. The guy said the one with the spacers should be their updated one and recommended using the spacers out of my stock leafs for the new one without vs taking them out altogether.
