Pushrods??? New or Old style..(Hole for oiling or not)

I believe the holes were to provide oil to the rollers on the lifters because they weren't hardened or something like that. When the LLYs came out, they started using hardened rollers, and then at some point during the LBZs, they quit using the push rods with the holes. If you have old lifter, you have to use the hole ones, otherwise, it doesn't matter.
