Problem with the site -- very slow loading

Is anyone else having a problem with the site loading extremely slow? I'm talking everything from loading the initial page to every individual thread to PMs. It's been this way for the past couple days.

Nothing wrong with our internet. No other site loads slow except here. Right now, half your avatars arent showing, just "so and so's avatar" in their places, and some of the "quote" buttons in your post boxes are just words, not the blue box. Same with smilies....they are all there but the "mad" one....it just shows it's HTML code name.

Hell, I don't know what it is. I ran anti-malware and nothing came up. Cleared cookies and same. Firefox usually doesn't have problems. I was kinda hoping Rob could look into it.

Sorry Bac, I'm just trying to make it thru another long & boring 12 hr night shift. I usually am a lurker more so than a poster. Out of all the diesel forums I have visited, this is the only one I call "home", and that's because of the atmosphere here. The "tech" info is pretty solid too.

Does this site give you the same problems if you try a different browser? Also, how long has it been since you last updated your software? There may be an update that could solve a compatibility issue like yours.

I have not had any problems on my side. The server seems fine. You might try clearing your cashe if you haven't already.

That clears everytime I close Firefox. Maybe its in the newest Firefox edition, b/c I remember it auto updating about a week ago.

Also, to AK's comment about software, Windows and FF are both their latest editions with all updates done.

I'm also seeing a change in speed here lately. Sometimes I click to advance to the next page and it never loads. I have to log out and start over. I noticed this within the past few days.

I've also noticed everything is a lot slower. Initial site load and switching between threads. No problems with any other site I frequent.

I use Firefox exclusively to search the web, and everything loads quickly except for DuramaxDiesels. I opened Internet explorer on one monitor and Firefox on another monitor (i.e. dual screen) and had both load DuramaxDiesels. Internet explorer loaded instantly, but Firefox lagged in loading the forums. I believe that the slow down is due to running Firefox, for the internet browser. Anyone else have Firefox for their internet browser, and are having slow loading times? For people having fast load times; what internet browser are you running?
