P2510 U1301 electrical gremlins

Dropped motor in recently, fighting electrical gremlins.


Truck was arc’d with a battery cable.....Battery light stays on when truck is off. When truck is cranked battery light goes away. Did have to reprogram a new TCM due to arc.. New alternator. New batteries. Checked all grounds. Truck cranks runs good, but is stuck in park. Trans freshly restacked. Also had a glow plug 8 code that has been cleared and gone.




From Tech2:

P2510- engine control ignition relay feedback circuit
U1301- class 2 communication circuit high


Any ideas on how to approach this? I’m not sure if there is a chaffed wire somewhere or if maybe I have a bad ecm from the arc? I put a multimeter on the fuses and I can’t find any parasitic draws.

The problem was eight cut wires in the harness under the driver side fender near the bottom of the windshield wiper fluid tank. I believe the cause was when the motor was pulled the cab was removed and set down on the wires.
