P2202-p2203 - NOx sensor
Had these two codes show up a few days ago, looks like they refer to the upstream NOx sensor which is easily replaced, but was noticing on my CTS2 that the soot level was building and pasted 44 without a regen. Last night it was at 50 when the DIC showed the message "Cleaning exhaust filter - keep driving...", after about 10 minutes it cleared and the soot level dropped to 47, this continued for the next 30 minutes with the soot level eventually getting up to 60g, then doing the clean exhaust filter and coming back down to 49-50. After three of four of these cycles it then threw a P0420 code which I assume is related to the bad NOx sensor? Question is since I have the CTS2 will doing a manual regen take care of the soot issue until I can get the new NOx sensor installed later today or tomorrow and then see if all is OK, or would it be better to wait till the sensor is installed then do the regen? Also anyone know what size wrench to use to remove the NOx sensor?
