I have a 2018 3500 High Country. I guess there are grave difficulties with dealership getting ECM resolve my broken truck. I guess there are some dealerships that have the part, but they don't want to offer it up to my dealership. So I was told that GM will now get involved to determine where is any supply chain one may be sitting that will get sent to my dealership. Already had two injectors replaced, codes said shorting issues were causing misfires. That was completed, same problem now the experts say the ECM needs to be replaced. I hope it works...

welcome

Id take a hard look at the injector harness for chafing and shorts and maybe more importantly having the injector connectors replaced as it is a known issue with those models before having the ECM replaced

I have been told that same information from a number of folks, not my call directly since this is all under warranty. As I understand it, they have a playbook they need to follow. Whatever did happen it was like someone just turned off a switch, I was cruising along and then the misfires started. I was towing my fifth wheel, so it was more evident under load. Codes pointed to #6 and #7, those were replaced. Same results, dealer escalated to GM field support, that specialist determined ECM, I just hope it gets resolved.

sadly, techs at the dealers just follow codes anymore and throw parts at the trucks. very rarely do you have a tech at a dealer that will actually diag an issue correctly and fix it. I went down this road with a dealer here in phx and had a hell of alot of words with both the service writer and tech. didnt help i was blatently lied to as well. i hope its the ecm but i dont trust those techs anymore.

that said, i feel you pain in having a warranty on a truck so you shouldnt be paying someone to fix it but ive been seeing a lot of people paying otuside shops to fix their low mileage trucks just so its done right. its extremely sad.
