Just wanted to introduce our new speed sensor connector repair kit for the Allison's! Also works on 4L60/4L80.

It is extremely common for the retainer clips on the transmission speed sensor connectors to crack, snap off, or otherwise fall apart. This can result in loose connections, trouble codes, transmission limp mode, and shifting issues. With loose connectors, corrosion can become a problem too, if the connector becomes partially unseated. GM most likely never intended these connectors to see regular servicing, but with more and more people upgrading/building their Allison transmissions and continuously unplugging and plugging in these connectors, they will all become damaged at some point.

BT DieselWorks now has the complete DIY solution to repairing all three speed sensor connectors, and to make sure the same failure does not occur again.

This kit includes UPDATED connectors that include a strengthened and protected latch assembly, as well as a shroud around the entire connector body to provide a far more durable replacement solution to the stock vulnerable speed sensor connectors and latches. This kit can be easily installed with only a small pick or mini flathead screwdriver. No cutting, no splicing, no crimping! Also included are pieces of heat shrink tubing to slip over the wiring to replace the plastic split loom on the harness that has surely degraded and cracked over time, as well as zip ties to re-secure any loose wiring.

This kit can be ordered in two varieties, depending on what transmission/year your truck is. 2007.5+ LMM/LML transmissions do not have an input speed sensor on the bell housing, and thus only require two replacement connectors instead of three that are included in the 2001-2007 LB7/LLY/LBZ kits.

As always at BT DieselWorks, we only sell the highest quality Delphi OEM connectors; these are not knockoffs from overseas. Easy installation in half an hour with installation instructions available for download.

The dealers will charge you $50+ or more for these repair connectors! Get the entire kit with 3 connectors, zip ties, and heat shrink for less than half that price.

Note: in the pictures I took, it shows the non-shrouded connectors of the original kit, but dont worry, the current kit will have the new shrouded connectors as shown in the second and third picture.

Thanks
Ben

You've all seen the broken connectors...it seems like 7 out of 10 standalone harnesses we do, the original harness that is sent to us has at least one broken/snapped connector...
