My new Magnum Research - BFR revolver chambered in .30/30 Winchester with a 10" barrel. For shooting a rifle round, it shoots fairly easy seeing it weighs 5.3 pounds. It also comes in 7" models and many different calibers like .45/70 GOV. This is my new #1 firearm.

My dad has one in .45/70 gov't. They do shoot surprisingly tame for a rifle round, speaks to their design and balance.

I like the look of the 10" barrel on yours. Congrats, that's a fun purchase!

I'll tell you what, it's a blast to shoot :D at my backyard range (that I can stretch out to about 75 yards). I'm glad I got the .30-30 and not the .45-70, the .30-30 round is about 1/2 the price, I don't reload. Another thing is, I am partial to the .30-30 because it was the very first gun I ever bought (Marlin 30AS) and still have it.

I found a video.

Dam you!

Now I have to have one! I'm a sucker for stainless pistols and I like oddity of it. Plus, my first rifle was a 30/30 as well, I still have it, it is an early 1900's cowboy gun. :D

All my pistols are stainless/alloy. The only blued pistol I have is my 1908-Vestpocket .25 acp.
Start saving for the BFR, they ain't cheep. The two things I wish I got was a fluted cylinder and .30-30 Winchester engraved on the frame under the cylinder.

Here is one of the BFR custom calibers, .50-90 Sharps:

That's a nice looking handgun. I like the vent rib they can add also. After researching them a little I was surprised what they cost. I have been wanting a 500 sw. And there's is a lot cheaper than Smith and Wessons. Tombstone tactical has some good prices on their guns.

Lol. I have a couple that I carry that aren't stainless and that's it. I believe that the gun manufacturers will completely get away from stainless framed pistols(going to all polymers and metal alloys) in the near future so I have been snapping up all the good ones I can find. They should start to appreciate here shortly.

in a 30/30... I like that!! Shooting rifle cartridges through a handgun is just fun :) I got to shoot a scoped T/C in .308 a few years ago and it was fun. I thanked the guy by handing him my 6" S&W in 500 Mag and 5 rounds. He walked around flapping his hands for a few minutes from the recoil :roflmao:
