Anyone know of a good machine shop in Washington state for the duramax. Either cracked or put a hole in the piston so it's time to rebuild it. Thanks

You just want a machine shop or do you want someone to build the motor?

I'm open to either depending on cost to do the short block. Have a shopping list of parts, but need the block checked out. Cracked and put a hole in number 2, it left a dime size rough spot on the wall.

I have a LBZ motor out a Kodiak with the same issue, would be nice to find someone local that could be trusted.

im in Covington, so something close by would be nice. But if I can't find anyone, I guess I'll need to ship it out. Way too much money to half ass it.

There is a good shop in Bend Oregon, Performance Authority, They are a diesel specialists shop and will build it to your specs. They built the racw engine in White Out in 2009, (1000+hp) and it's still running today. They use a good machine shop in Redmond called Stipe Engine Specialties who also builds a lot of race engines, he can do the machine work and build it as well. He built my race engine in my car.
