Fabricated a y-bridge for guy a few weeks ago and thought I'd put it up here for those that don't get on social media.

I'm not a master aluminum welder, I can actually count the number of times I've tigged aluminum on 1 hand, haha.

I'm very happy with how it tuned out and would like to thank Russ (rpmmotorsport) for being the first person to make one this way, that I saw on the forum a few years ago.

Looks good. Do we get to see the rest of this truck anytime soon?

I don't know, I might have to ask. I built it for the guy thats building the triple kit who's building that for the actual owner; many hands, haha.

Rancelot211 Looks good bud!

Thanks guys:thumb:
It's not flawless by any means like others that are much better at aluminum but I like how it turned out.

russell this is a crazy question but could you build a bigger bridge that works with the ihi and that retains the intake air heater i just dont see the point in deleting something that helps on cold starts you know just curious thanks

Do those intake heaters actually help with cold starts or were they just an emissions thing? My LLY lived in North Dakota for a couple years & never had a problem starting even when I didn't plug it in.

Just emissions. Iah are useless. I've had no problem starting with temps well into the negatives. Not plugged in either. You have glow plugs.

Nice work russ!

Dido, we were up in Canada for 2+ years with no grid heater. No hard starts, no smoke on first fire up, nothing.

"Robby Avery" I could build a larger one for the IHI w/grid hearer but again it's not necessary.

Here's some pictures of the setup
