Well fellas, I hate to ask this but I really do need some info. I bought my 03 DMax CC with a slight lift already installed. I have 40" from the ground to the fender lip in front and 42" in the rear. The inner fenders have already been trimmed, same as the bumper valance. I figure it is like a 2" leveling kit but it seems higher than 2". I want to upgrade my tires on the stock wheels. How Large of a tire can I go on the stock wheel? Can I get away with 305/70/16? The recommended min wheel width is like 8" Also is there one tire that works/looks better on stock wheels. I am looking at tires like MT Baja, Nitto Grappler etc. let me know what you think. Up here is Canada tires are damn pricey s I want to be sure. Priced BF Goodrich AT at Costco 305/75/16 at 277.00 a piece. Yikes!!!!! Thanks, Dana.........

i have an 03 with 2 inch leveling and 1 ton springs and am running 35x12.5's on hummer rims but before i had the springs and 2 in leveling i ran 305/75/16 on stock rims with no problems, if your truck really is raised like 2 0r 3 in you should be able to fit 315's on your stocker rims with a little trimming and bfg at's look good with stock rims because of their rim guard (makes the sidewalls look straighter ;))

I've run 315's on H2 rims on mine, 2wd with cranked torsion bars and some trimming, I'm running 305's right now.

well the rims will work perfect and so will the tires but i would not suggest them for winter one of my friends has an 05 1500 with those same tires even same size and he says they are very bad in the winter un less you are off road in the deep powder he even went as far as saying they are dangerous:eek: but i myself havent had any experience with them in the winter and they are a beautiful looking tire and a pretty good pulling tire;)

Thanks for the tip. I never thought of that. I guess the lugs are so big it would be like driving around on a bunch of hockey pucks. Got me thinkin now.
