I'm getting some pressure in my coolant, so I'm studding the old girl. Does anyone have a recommendation for a known good Dmax machine shop to check my heads - preferably in the southern NJ Philly area? What should I expect to pay? Thanks in advance!

I always take mine to Napa Flowers to get them done. Usually no more than 250 to have them checked and decked. And that’s on the high end

I called one place and he said you can't pressure test Duramax Heads. Had to disassemble and magnaflux and reassemble; $500/head cash only as a favor because we have a mutual friend. Seemed less than friendly to me, LOL

I don’t believe that is true at all. I’ve had all three sets of my heads pressure checked and trued. Flowers is the machine shop at our local Napa’s but they might not be nationwide or in your area. I don’t think I paid more than $120 a piece the last time I did them to have them cleaned, checked, and decked.

You 100% can pressure test cylinder heads..................... If the machine shop is saying they can't do it I would definitely go elsewhere and not come back.
THIS X100000000

The first machine shop I took my lb7 heads to before I knew any better wouldn’t pressure check them without the injectors installed. 2k in injectors later after they ruined them, I learned my lesson to use shops that 100% know what they’re doing.
