Finished another AR

My DREAM AR...my M16A1 clone I finished last month.

-Nodak Spud upper and lower
-1/9 twist pencil barrel (not a fan of the original 1/12 twist)
-A1 birdcage flash hider
-surplus triangle handguard, grip, and stock
-CMMG lower parts kit
-OD green M14/M16 sling


Not hi-tech, not modern, but light as hell and shoots like a CHAMP!

That's a great build. my roommate has an old school colt that I like a lot and it pretty much got me hooked to where I am today. I am a huge fan of modern AR's, I love building and shooting them. What buffer weight are you running, and how do you like the trigger in that CMMG parts kit? Also, I didn't see a sear pin in that lower. Lol

I wish I could afford an auto!!! Standard rifle buffer and spring, full auto BCG. The trigger is a basic military trigger. Good enough for what I plan to do. CMMG is my go to parts kit. Their takedown pins are just SLIGHTLY longer than typical, which I love.

Next project might be an MP5 clone.

That is the hardest part. The waiting game for parts being shipped, and the worst part is when you are trying to wait for deals!

Case in point, this M1A took me a LONG time to complete. I have a few different configurations I like to use. Waiting for good deals on the stocks was honestly the hardest part. Second picture is my "Black Hawk Down" setup.
