On my way to Parker towing my 5th wheel while turning into Rice Rd my truck downshifted heavy, pulled over and pulled up these codes on my Edge Monitor(P0700, P2563 and P0847) . While towing everything was reading good on my Edge Monitor nothing that I was worried about. Check my transmission fluid no burnt smell, fluid was leveled and good red color too. Kept towing to the campsite with no issues. Drove home with out towing and zero issues truck ran great. Next day pulled out my EFI live and these codes pulled up ABS C0035, C0040 and UNK B2615. Got with my neighbor who has expensive code reader and these codes came up U1016 and U1096. My main concern are the U1016 and U1096 codes. Reading up on some threads on this forum looks like I need to look at my wiring and grounding to my TCM?. Has anyone experience similar codes. I got basic mechanics skills, just want a general idea on where to look before taking it into a shop. Thank You

P0700 is Transmission Control System Malfunction
P2563 is a vane position sensor code
P0847 is switch D remains pressurized while solenoid D is commanded off

P0700 is just the "alert" code thru the ECM that the TCM has codes. Curious as to what the TCM codes really are. Read those, get back with us.

My neighbor used his code reader and this is what got pulled from the TCM (U1016 and U1096 codes)78920C11-7E02-4734-BCF5-532964BF5BDE.jpeg. On the way home from Parker with out towing the check engine light turn off.

I wouldn't worry about those U codes unless they are persistent or seem to cause issues. I'd clear them and see if they come back

I'd definitely look into the P2563 & P0847 codes. The C codes could be from a bad ABS sensor or wheel hub. Could have been the cause of the weird shifting you mentioned

I'd clean up the ground on the frame under the drivers door too

Thank You 2004LB7. Codes P2563 & P0847 went away while driving home with out towing, I did not reset the codes. Anyway to test for these two codes with out towing?

P2563 is often about sticky vanes. See the attached info

Update: I Used my neighbors Autel to test P2563 & P0847 and everything is working fine. Going to look into the wheel hub, ABS sensor and clean up the ground on the driver side. What causes it to shift weird ? If the fixes sound pretty reasonable?
