My LMM is upset. I let her sit for a few weeks trying to get my steering box issue resolved. Today I went to remove the box and found a loose fitting, so tightened it up and put the hot side pipe back in the bottom boot, and went to start her and see if she still leaked.
No start. Codes in the pic.
Last summer I was fighting these codes and unplugging and replugging the main harness got rid of them. This time it isn’t working. I cleared codes and unplugged and replugged etc and now I have no codes at all, but she still won’t start.
Did I mention it’s pouring out? Lol. Ugh!

advice? Please/thank you!

Codes were P2564 P0106 P0698 the glow plug code is legit. That was getting replaced today.

Did you perhaps damage or mess with the oil pressure sensor or harness? Also, don't just unplug and replug connectors. Look inside for bent or pushed back pins. Especially on the large bail connectors on to of the engine. Double check the engine grounds too

When I unplug hand replug I am also examining. Nothing obvious. I’ll check oil pressure sensor/harness - I was very gentle and don’t think I did anything. I also checked ecm and Tcm and they are both grounded. I’ll check grounds. Thanks

I idled for a while and then shut down to change the glow plug. She started and died. Cranked back up. Low side fuel pressure is shit. Lift pump caught up and she’s running. I’ve been battling a mystery leak when running, for a couple years. Maybe it’s now causing me to lose prime.

Makes sense. If there’s egress there can be ingress!
The problem is they I can’t find it. Lol. I’ve crawled all over the truck and when I had someone pull the trans, he got back behind and didn’t find it either.
I’m considering taking off my MITUSA and going to an electric lift pump so I get pressure before starting. Shitty band aid but ???

I’m actually in a parking lot at idle running an errand. My lift pump pressure is lower than usual. I’m going to change my filter when I get home.

If the leak is before your lift pump then it could be sucking air and lowering the pressure. This could also make it take longer to prime. Maybe replace a section of the hose with a clear one and see if you have any bubbles.

Electric lift pumps are definitely the way to go to help with priming.

I saw a new small leak under the regulator log. I have always hated the octopus of hoses for the MITUSA setup, but it has been great for over 10years.
I guess the big question now - FASS or Airdog?
