Can anybody identify this connector? Its under the column. I’m doubting this is how the truck left the factory 16 years ago.

Doesn't look stock. :roflmao:

I did a quick scan through the FSM didn't see a 6 position single row connector right offhand. What does the wiring connect into? If you could trace it back to some other connection that would help tremendously.

Clutch position switch. Someone jumped it so they wouldn’t always have to have the clutch pedal depressed to start the truck

I’m gonna say you are dead on the money. I noticed that but being the only zf6 truck I’ve ever been around wasn’t really sure if it was wrong.

Would this cause the parking brake light to always stay on?

I don’t think so. That should only be a single wire on the parking brake itself. If no codes of course. And I think only other thing is brake fluid level switch that will turn park brake light on with no codes. I could be wrong though.
