Bolt identification

Anyone know what grade or seen this type of bolt? We inherited a ton of these style bolts but they feel too light compared to a grade 5 or 8.

Barnes Group version of L9/F911 bolts. those are damn good stuff. Assuming they are not chinese. There has been a rash of those going around and you have to be careful where you buy them from.

These are probably well before the Chinese junk. My uncle worked for some Nascar teams 15-20 years ago, I'm assuming that's where they came from. Good to know they are good stuff! Thanks james

no prob! If there is anything you want to bolt down and not worry about the bolt breaking, its those. they are NOT cheap :roflmao:

Get a graded nut, and torque one to failure in a fixture. Should tell you everything you need to know about it, since it sounds like you can afford to destroy one.
