The tires on my truck are getting a little tired (flat) and I have been looking for options. I was thinking H2's with 285/70-17 BFG At/T's. The H2's as far as I know are 17x8.5, +18mm offset, 5.5 backspace, and an 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern. Am I correct? I have heard of guys running this combo with the factory T-bar settings with some trimming, and maybe a slight rub. Are there any aftermarket wheels that have similar specs so that I could run a 285/55-20 BFG A/T with the same fit? I have checked around a little bit with no success. Sorry for the long post, but thanks.

Dan H.

The H2 wheels definately suck in very close to the body and allow you to run a larger tire. Your specs on the wheel are correct. I know someone selling a set of black H2s if youd like

I think with back space they suck up under the truck too much and look kinda goofy. I would try and get something with a 5 inch back space and that will put your tire right at the fender and you can still run the 285 you want. I'm sure you can get a killer deal on the h2's just because there a ton of take offs out there. Don't pay very much for them because they are everywhere!!!!!!!

An H2 wheel with a 285 does sit flush with the fender...

How would a 20x9 wheel with 5.39" backspace and +10mm offset fit with a 285/55-20 tire on a truck with stock T-bar height? I'm pretty sure some trimming will have to take place. Thanks.

Thanks for the link Wes. It says that the 20x9 with 5.39" B.S. and +10mm offset with a 285/55-20 will only stick out about 8mm (0.3") farther than the H2 with 285/70-17. It's also a bit shorter. I was just a little concerned with the difference in width, backspace, and offset. Hopefully it won't rub too bad at stock height. What do you think? Thanks.
