Levi helped me out on getting a custom set of blankets made up for my samurai. consisted of a exhaust manifold blanket and a k03 turbo blanket. what a huge difference it made in under the hood temps! not to metion i can actually pull spark plugs now with out any fear of burning myself on the exhaust.

Thanks again levi, you do great work and your customer service is always top notch :D

Hard to see the turbo blanket but it fits nicely.

Thanks James! Lucky you posted this, I was on the verge of an angry PM since I hadn't been updated with how these worked out. :D It was nice to work on some high horsepower stuff for a change.

Haha as soon as I got them from you, I popped a headgasket on the motor. Upon pulling the head, something had ran through the #3 cyl and beat the living hell out of the piston and head. I couldn't find a good block and crank as a core to save my life so she sat for a good while. Thanksgiving weekend I finally got a new motor in it with some good upgrades.

But yeah, she's a tire burnin, street drifting 120hp!!

These blankets are almost "too nice" for the samurai community lmao

lol no timing control, hot temps, and a bouncy FMU lead to bad bad things. it did however drive for 30 min back to the house under its own power. it was puking water, running on 3 cyl due to it eating a spark plug, only had 100psi of compression in the back 2 cyls and still cruised 65 all the way home :roflmao:

Question: is that the stock intake plenum for a samurai? Or something sourced from another vehicle? It looks similar to an intake on my brothers old 240sx, or maybe it was his Datsun that had a 240 engine swap, icr, looks familiar though...
