This has nothing to do with a duramax but I'm a mechanical engineering student looking for a place to do a co-op. Any company suggestions I could look at?

I'm looking for a paid co-op or internship to gain experience as an engineer. I'm willing to travel but I'd prefer to stay in the south since I'm from tallahassee Florida.

Louisburg, KS for now
If you want to work 12+hrs a day in the field and get people/management experience look at Kiewit. If you're in the office you'll work around 8hrs a day depending on bids going through the office.

They work all over the US. They just mobbed to one site in Paradise KY. When your an intern the care/attention you get if good but when you hire on full time it's hit or miss on going anywhere from there. Some of my coworkers/friends worked their way up and others didn't.

TX of course
You can't throw a rock and not hit a engineer around the gulf coast. I don't have any suggestions for you though. All the ones I know move around a lot employer wise chasing that oil field $$$.
