Thanks, I'll keep it tuned down, is it because the stock tranny can't handle the extra HP, and what tranny mods would ya have to do, to be able to crank it up

It is 100% because of the stock 5spd trans. If you wanted to make more than say 60-90hp extra you'd need a built trans (better clutches, better converter, pressure mods, valve body mods etc).
