Picked up a 2wd LLY last week to get started on for playing with plan on running a few local races and a few ODSS races. Plans are to shorten the truck up lower it down and lighten it up a bit not full gut but shed some weight.

Truck I'm starting with is
2004.5 LLY 2wd cab and chassis
First thing to to was to take the flat bed off and started cutting the leaf spring mounts off and slid the rear axle forward

I wish I would have taken a couple more pictures but got the flat bed off shorten the frame and drive shaft and started to take the interior out and take some unused brackets off the frame rails. And then the snow came and works been crazy but it did give me a chance to buy some wheels and some rear shock mounts some other stuff that I needed.

Been working on the truck when I get time to got leaf springs down to top 3 and stock brackets cut off the axle to be able to mount new shock brackets on axle. New driveshaft installed and fuel take mounted in the back and mocking up where to mount battery and fuel pump.

Last Tuesday I Had a little accident and about lost my right eye but a bruised lung and cracked Rib will really take the wind out of your sails. But I will be back at it soon and I can see straight.

Were you on that DSM river I80 bridge job?

No my project is the Ryder corner 141 fly over at I-80/35 but I did hear what happened on that project very sad.

My accident i had one of the large up-side down paint cans that got ran over by a dump truck and bottom came off and had enough pressure to hit me chest and bounced off my right side im just glad I had my coveralls and sweat shirt on or could have been really bad. I was about 10-15 feet from the truck walking in the same direction kinda of a freak things that I wasn't expecting to happen.

No where near complete but did get the fuel tank mounted and the complete HVAC system deleted and interior partly gutted.

As far as the Air dog I went with was the 165 4G it's what I had in my LMM and I liked it so I figured it would be perfect.

I did get the sump on and air dog mounted and battery moved to the rear so getting closer but was hoping to be headed to Florida in a week or so out but I'm way behind but that's ok still having a good time and completely working on it at my leisure.

Also I purchased a new to me truck to drag the trailer around going to leave this one almost stock

2017 ram 3500 mega cab lariame longhorn 4x4
Cummins 6.7 and aisin as69 transmission hopefully this will be as good of truck as my LMM was

I know:D but buddy of mine buys new trucks every couple years and they offered him $30k trade in on it I figured money a was right not to buy it 109k miles and loaded:woott:

Made some progress on the truck lately but unfortunately I won't be able to bring it to Florida but I'm still going to watch and hang out have a good time we are getting ready to roll out and goals are to have it ready for Rudy's

Qa1's should help my 60 foot out

Tires I got from summit when they had a sale going on and the wheels I got from a local shop Earl's tire where I had them mounted up I'm trying to decide if I need run screws in them or not. I have been kicking a few more things off the check list of needs to do and also I need to order fiberglass bed sides for it and I'm trying to figure out which ones to go with and been looking for a set of used ones but haven't been that lucky.

Had to buy new tires for the daily and that took a ding in the pocket book
