Ive got 5000#bags on my sierra with air lifts auto leveling system. My toy hauler has a 3500 king pin weight and i just put a pressure gauge inline to just see what i am getting hooked up. 130psi. Safty valve will blow off when i hit a good size bump or dip. Question is how do i reduce that psi. I see max reccomended psi is 100 An add a leaf? Or just jump to their 7500# bags?

Not sure if you're running an ccsb or ecsb or cclb or what year etc. but If you're putting 3500 lbs of king pin weight on your 2500hd truck your way over payload capacity and probably axles as well not including passengers and other cargo. You should really be looking at a 1 ton srw to stay legal.

If you don't care about that then yes upgrade to the 7500's. 130 psi is too much for those bags.

Are you trying to keep the ride height too high? What if you adjust the auto level system so the rear end sits 1.5" lower?

My pin weight is 2,500#. (by my math)

I have AirLift 5000 on mine.

I run 80 psi in the bags to keep the truck level while towing.
Not sure if that helps, but to jump from where I'm at not to add another 1,000# to my pin? I would need to do something very different to my set up.

This weight ticket is from the 2003 truck, I have yet, to scale (or pull the RV with) the 2015, but I installed AirLift 5000s on that as well. I would think my pin weight would be very similar.

05 Ccsb lly. I set it up so it would have 10lbs in in unloded as per instructions i could lower it an inch and see what i get. Ive only goy a 4 +1 leaf in the back. Buying a differnt truck is out of the question lol

I have the same air lift setup on my truck and also have it adjusted where it has 5-10 psi when empty. I have to readjust the sensor some when I hook my fifth wheel up to where it is around 75 psi. If not mine would be over 100 also. I’m not sure what my pin wt is but it’s nothing near 3500#.

Correction its 3100# but its still up there. Anyone think if i do an add a leaf it will lighten the load on the bags? Dont really want to move the sensor around a bunch

I only have to move it about 1/2”. Once I figured out where it needs to be it’s an easy adjustment. Hook up the trailer, slide it down. Unhook, and slide it back up.
