2015 fan issues

Hey guys, other day I was driving my 2015 and noticed the fan come on and stay on just cruising unloaded. Bout an hour after I noticed the fan it threw a DTC (PO495 fan speed high). I was just wondering if the lml's had the same all mechanical fan clutch as the older models? Fan stays on %100 of the time now.

Lml is electronic fan clutch hence the code

I had the same vehicle in my shop last week with the same complaint, needed a fan clutch. GM#15102145. Retails about $240.00.

The 09 medium duty trucks, late 08+ van's, and 11+ trucks stopped using the old thermal fan clutch, and went to the electro viscous clutch. So it sounds like you're stuck needing a fan clutch. Seen them on ebay for around $200 as I was considering retrofitting one into my suburban.
