Check out this video plus they have several others testing bulbs in actual headlight housings. There are some great drop in LED bulbs that have OEM beam patterns but much brighter and last longer.

I use these, they look almost identical to what you linked, put them in 5 vehicles so far and no complaints. Notice it has the lip around the chip to block the light from glaring.

Edit these are best in reflector housings not projectors.

Had this problem on a work truck I drove, it ate bulbs constantly. We replaced the bulb harness and the problem went away.

DDM sabers here with zero complaints. Going on 4 years now in the regular cab, did morimoto in the LML fogs both seems to be quality units.

Morimoto d2s 5.0 retrofit, hylux 35w ballasts, 5500k bulbs. Have the new morimoto 2stroke 3.0 led in the fogs and very impressed with them.

I ordered the d2s 5.0 kit with projector retrofit yesterday for my 19 Silverado. The factory lights suck terrible and didn’t get much better after I tried a set of LEDs.

How was the install?

Are you worried about the Daytime Running Lights causing issues with the hid setup?

It’s so easy. Pull head light out, pull cap off. 4 bolts and the projector is out. I put mine on upside down so had to do it twice after having all assembled and back together lol.

I shut drl first thing when I start the truck. I run hylux ballasts. My morimoto ballasts were junk I ran with pnp on stock projectors.

I plan to get a auto sync. Can shut drl with that

I’m researching the autosync as well. He said I can switch the DRL to the parking lights or fogs if I wanted to or shut them off completely

Relay harness. Hooks to battery and plugs into one of the factory plugs for power on signal. The factory wires are too thin to supply adequate power to the ballasts.
