How's it going I have a big question that maybe someone can answer for me I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 Duramax Vin code 2 truck by that it says it's a LLY but it looks identical to a LBZ nothing like the LLY if it looks like a duck quacks like a duck it's usually a duck I've also read that GM redesigned the LLY and it's actually the LBZ same internals and everything just different programing is there any truth to this

Not sure when they changed over but I had an 06 lly that had the old style head gaskets , and I have had several 06 lbz that have all had the new style gaskets .
