2005 GMC Started fine moved around the yard then poured smoke out of exhaust "smelled like fuel" then shut down no start now

-sat for a few 8-9 weeks
-no fuel leaks
-fuel filter from gm 60 miles on it. primer gets hard and pumped while trying to start.
-didn't hook up to see what's missing, no lights on dashboard.

What should I do first ?

You should get a scan tool on it and see what it's doing.

Did you ensure there is no air at the test port and only clean non-air filled fuel?

i will tonight after work , will scan it and crack bleeder to see if i have air, it just crazy it started so good no smoke moved it to the bad of the yard, and shut it down talked how good this freaking runs, then started it moved to front of the shop it started smoking raw fuel and shut down

Did you mean test port or bleeder screw? I think he is thinking the bleeder.

The test port is an over sized srader valve with a black cap towards the front of the engine. Pump up the primer and use something to push the valve down to make sure you have clean fuel coming out.
