Anyone have a 19x yet? I’m thinking this will be my next purchase. My 19 has been fantastic, just leaves a little to be desired on my hand fitment. I played with a 17 recently and loved the grip however wasn’t crazy about slide length.

Looking at real world users not randoms on the net

Based on your likes/dislikes it sounds like it's for you lol. I have a gen4 19 fits me perfectly. I have a gen4 17 frame that I only have a .22lr upper for that fits me fine, I don't find that the slide is that much longer.

Take a look at Caracal Corbin. The rear sight is in front of the ejection port, stupid easy to get on target and very comfortable in your hand.

A guy I work with match shoots and says it shoots as well as his competition 1911.

The slide length isn’t that much, like 1/2”. However as I carry appendix it’s enougn to poke my dick while I’m sitting haha. I’m hoping to handle a 19x and see if it fits the bill. If not I’ll be moving to a 17 and dealing with the dick poke lol.

Never heard of that. Quick google. It would have to shoot like magic for me to want one. Reminds me of the .22lr beretta came out with a couple years ago. Great shooting little gun. Terrible to look at

I appendix my 19. I could appendix a 17 but the grip sticks out too much for me.

It grows on you. I actually like the looks better than the Glock, admittedly I’m not a polymer fan. Love my para but it isn’t nearly as comfortable in the hand as the Caracal.

I own several 19s I was thinking about trying one. I conceal carry a 19 with an xc1 and love it. I have a side car but it prints pretty bad so I stopped running it. My dad has a caracal and loves it.

I appendix carry a 19 with a trijicon RMR and love it.. Thing I DON'T like about the 19X is it only accepts 19X mags. They are not interchangeable with the 17 or 19 glock mags

Really. If that’s the case I’m not buying one. I don’t need another magazine in the mix

Actually I retract my last statement! I just re read the article and they will except the standard 19/17 mags. But still in my mind this whole concept of a shorter slide length and longer grip make no since to me.. :roflmao:

I’ve been wanting a rmr, can’t justify not having my primary carry long enough for the slide work. I hate carrying my 26 as it feels like a lcp in my hands lol.

I can’t see a standard 19 mag (15rd) fitting inside a 19x as it’s not long enough. Now a 17 mag I can. And a 19x will back fit anything 9mm (17,19,26) I presume

Look at a sig p229 ASE. I carry one daily, great primary weapon. Lots of well trained individuals carry them as well as most federal/military special ops. The SRT puts it light years ahead of the glock imho...

Man pull the trigger on the RMR! Adding that has really stepped up my shooting game. Faster controlled pairs. Faster sight picture. And more accurate first round from the draw. Just point and shoot

oh and a little more insight on the mag issue. Will not accept the GEN 5 mags due to the lip on the fore end of the grip

Glock miester will do slide cuts for a reasonable price. But yes an rmr is worth it.
