All head gaskets fail. We see just as many newer style fail then early models

Exactly. Iím finishing up a 2015 right now that had blown head gaskets. All stock 125,000 miles.

That’s why I’m not worried about it. Does anyone know when the 6 speed came in them? As in when they started to be built?

I think there where a few people that claimed their 06 lly that had the old mouth peice and air filter. That could be wrong. I don't think it would fit on the lbz turbo without modifing it.

Pull the door panel and look at the plastic, it will have the date on it. That's where I found mine.

I know the lbz mouth piece fits an lly turbo. So it should work both ways.
