A local campground towed it to their campground for me and is allowing me to store it there for 3 bucks a day... not a bad deal but I prefer it not be there since I thought it was only an injector not a rebuild

I had something similar happen but not as catastrophic. Did head gaskets and injectors and had no compression on #2. Wound up being a bent pushrod holding the valve open. Had two valves stamped in the piston. But lucked out cause the valves werenít bent and the piston wasnít cracked. Still donít know what caused it

Update is not good, pulled the head and we have some major issues. Basically cylinder 8 is pretty screwed. Stripping block down and seeing where I'm going from there. Sending a fuel sample out as myself as well as 6 others have said it smells like it's mixed with gas. If so it will be handled by the insurance. cylinders 2 and 6 also have metal it them I'm assuming they worked in there threw the exhaust valves as my exhaust brake was engaged as I let off the throttle to pull over.... I will keep updated

If that's anywhere near as bad as it looks on the bore, it will need machine work if that block is to be used again.

It might be the best bet to buy a used engine to throw in there.

If a station mixed up gas and diesel, it could cause a fuel system failure. Maybe someone else will be on the hook for this bill.

Sorry to see that, not what you want to find...

Already contacted a machine shop here. Probly the best one around said they will sleeve it for 350... lucky the rod stayed in the block... sleeve isn't the best option but neither is an engine I know nothing about.

Well fuel came back negative for gas contamination so I'm currently truck shopping... going to drop a rebuilt motor in this one and time to move on... going to miss this truck. Wish the outcome was better but an upgrade is on the way.
