Default Turbo needed!

Currently installing a compound set up on my Duramax lbz.
Found out my valley charger (fleece 63mm) is trash.

Fleece has offered me a “deal” on a new turbo.

Considering the trashed one had 6k miles on it in 2 years I have little faith in fleece right now.

If anyone has a new/ gone through charger similar let me know ASAP

Thanks
Nate

I don't have a new charger but I just pulled my stock lmm charger yesterday with 43k miles to swap to a 68mm

I know how frustrating it is to lose big ticket items prematurely, but in the same way, I've learned to try and stay open-minded to try to identify the root cause. Was the truck tuned specifically for the turbo? What were the running conditions at the time of failure? These questions are important to be honest about and be willing to prove with data logs in order to win a warranty claim. I've had a customer that had a 20k mile fleece 68mm explode on him, have him call me for support dealing with fleece as a dealer, only to find out a year later that he was towing 22k lbs load on his hot tune getting on the highway at full throttle and it was like 105 degrees out and 90% humidity. Turbos don't like excessive heat, speed, or thrust...

What exactly failed? As stated elsewhere in the thread what conditions was it used in etc? What other mods?

Just saw the replies so I apologize for my delayed response and am grateful for all the feedback!

Trucks modifications -

Lbz

Egr delete with:
Wcfab y bridge
Hot and cold side piping

Lb7 up pipe

S&b intake

Fleece 63mm cheetah turbo

3in down pipe
5in exhaust

Ppe fuel rail ported fitting
Ppe race relief valve plug

Air dog 2 165

Trans go jr shift kit

Efi life through Duramax tuner
STOCK turbo basic 5 position trans safe tunes
-never got truck re-tuned after turbo install

No boost leak on compressor side.

Tow a 6k lb trailer 3-5 times a year.
And the distance is 7.8 miles one way...

Do not drag race or sled pull

Turbo was install approx 6k miles ago.
-all up pipe and down pipe gaskets were replaced at the time of the turbo and wcfab install.

The delete before that was lb7 up pipe and sdp coolant pipe.

Have been in contact with Danville about a turbo and DMAX store with their promax turbo.

Thanks again for any help and info !

Apologies.

Axial thrust baring failed and started making contact with compressor housing.

Only reason I checked was because I could not find the oil leak anywhere else and had the intake and piping off for the compound fabrication.

If I could send videos I would of the in and out shaft play (over 0.050 end play )
