Just leave it in 4hi all the time. Use a crescent or pliers to put it there and send it.

As for the front axle hummer shaft or slide the collar over and throw a couple heavy tacks on it.

This is a budget race truck if I remember right. Keep it simple

Good point. Sometimes I overlook the obvious. Thanks Corbin.

Hell. Yes. A crescent and some tack welds are the answer to a lot of life's hurdles.

Did some more digging. It might be possible to fab a lever to use on a 263 case, but then you run into "how do you trigger the front diff activator?"
Ferm knows quite a bit about these from the posts Ive read. Would be interesting to get his perspective on it.

Meh, it doesnt hurt anything to stay 2wd. Less weight, less complexity. Just have to resort to old-fashioned tried-and-true chassis setup theory. No big deal.
Need wiring also or just the case?

Its a 2003 lb7
GMC extended cab shirt bed truck

Probably the harness, too. A pigtail off the Tcase encoder at the very least. You know, just in case I come up with something off the wall.....

Im going back and looking at FM and CL too.

As for shift linkage, just grab a floor shifter from any gm truck/suv in your body year range. You may not use the full linkage but the shifter will bolt in easier and carries the pivot and just may have to do some modding time the linkage side.

Keep in mind I have the 1/2 ton diff. Not sure the Hummer shaft for the 9.25 is the same.

As to the lever, it looks to be a flat piece of steel bolted to the shift shaft with a linkage ball on the end. I dont see an issue cutting a square hole on one end of a piece of steel and drilling/tapping the shaft for a retaining bolt. Thank you for the idea James.

https://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/...995939913.html

Doubt it has a Allison in it.

Appears to be a manual case but no Allison.

Thanks Joe. From all Ive read, a Tcase from a 6.0 gasser wont work behind an Allison. Appreciate your help.
