I just replaced my 'D' shift solenoid due to a P0768 code and I am still getting the code. Sometimes after clearing the code itll drive just fine but now it will spit and sputter at around 2500 rpms in 3rd gear. I'm at a lost and would love advice before I go spend thousands of dollars to find out it's something I can fix. It's a 2003 chevy duramax with allison 1000 trans.

I'm no trans expert but I'd check the round plug on back of trans for fluid. The seal goes bad and ATF will leak into the plug and cause all kinds of issues.
