For all the hours in em, gonna specify he test fires each one before checking the oil every day...
One thing I've learned about solenoids on this project, torque is relative to starting position. The further down the bore that pin sets, the less pull ya have to start with. Reason I set em tight to the wheels. At full stroke they wouldn't overcome throttle spring tension. But no issues with 75% of the pin inside the windings. Might still step up that voltage to 24 or 36 just for good measue. Also gained a clear understanding why my old 6.0l Powerstoke ran like crap when the FICM burned out a resistor and dropped voltage below 48v. Same principles here as any std injectors.. Yeah the owner just left. He swung by and helped out for a week on way to NY. Looks like I might head out to LA with it in Jan, and then ship out from there.
