I have a set out of a 300k mile engine that cracked a piston. You can have them if you pay shipping. Not sure if miles scare ya.

I should have a set of LMM lifters here next week or so. They are currently at Custom Auto in Idaho. They were out of my LMM with 28k miles on them lol.

Theoretically they don't really go bad as its a roller setup and only really fail when they get lack of lubrication or debris ran through them. That said, I replaced them on my truck when I built it and will be doing the same if the heads come off my LB7 tow rig.

This Fing motor has taken 3 years so far. Still need push rods, Injectors, Pumps, ECT
Ive got to stop telling people they dont need a rebuilt transmission when they walk in pre sold themselves (NOT!)

Double edged sword though. You donít want to put a used set of lifters in that then lock up a roller and kill your cam. Storage of the lifters plays a roll here. They should be stored in good clean oil and out of the open air. Lower mileage, less likely to have worn rollers. If the cam is new and you donít have lifters, its best to buy new so the lifters wear into the cam together. They are not flat tappet so not as important but they still wear together

There are two different lengths of lifters. I cannot say for sure which engine is shorter, but its definitely a difference in height. Had several sets in a pile from core engines and there was a mysterious set of shorter ones.

LB7 is shorter. Purchase LLY+ lifters as they are all the same PN up until L5P.

Just remember. With Performance specs need to be closer and parts need to be 100%. Like the saying says if you cant afford to do it right the first time you can't afford to do it twice.

I am suprised no one has a low mile set laying around.
