Default The new Limo

Thanks everyone! She pulls well! The 10 speed is awesome on hills and loaded down. Keeps you in the power at all times. In this temp, the old limo would out pull it on the grades but at 65mph up the 2 lane windy hills, I have 0 complaints. I slowed more for sick passengers than anything . Never heard the fan though I dont know how loud it really is. The exhaust note it makes under power is nice to hear inside. Got a good rumble to it.

A lot! Rebuild the sand car trans and a few other things for dune season next year, finish the tracker long travel and front diff setup, put a patio cover on the back of the house, and more lmao

Hell if I know. Its 10,500 empty per the mfg. with my tracker in it and loaded for the week, I would assume its around 15-16k. Pin is 2500 with no weight in the back so probably 2k with the tracker in there.

Never spent the time to hit a scale. Maybe one day if weve got time.

I notice no lights in the fender flares. Were those an option or a GMC thing?

Mike knows how solid I am on keeping this new girl low key.

Nope, OG Limo is at home currently. Literally the only place I listed it was here till I get back from my trip, then it will get posted on a few different places. It will get all cleaned up and stored at my dads shop till she finds a new home or hes tired of it there (then I gotta build the damn enclosure for it or find a new house )

That truck is really sharp. Please show a couple pics of the interior. I'm glad you got one.

Well, 550 miles of towing later, I think shes broke in .

Few things Ill say about the 10 speed. It will shift a lot if Im cruise control and hauling heavy. You honestly never feel it shift but it will bounce back and forth from 10th to 7th on hilly terrain. It will also skip downshifts I found, that or its real quick downshifting through the gears. I was in 9th gear at the bottom of a hill and hit a real steep grade. It seemed like it went straight to 7th and I watched it jump from 1600rpm right to 2400rpm. Did it 2 or 3 times but I never tried to make it do it myself and you cant watch gear selection to know what its doing.

I wish gm wouldnt make cruise control so touchy at speed to downshift when hauling heavy. Id rather see the truck drop 2 mph while it trys to stay in gear but I guess its a fine line on that. Probably just need to get use to it.

1-2 and 2-3 up shifts in tow/haul are harsh (like big defuel type shifting, not tie up style) over 50% throttle up to about 80% throttle. Ill see if it learns out of it. Has maybe 10-15 shifts through those gears.

It takes some getting use to on make it use its torque. Its not like the 6 speeds where you could kinda lay in the throttle and it would power through. It wants to kick down pretty easy but you can kinda figure out the throttle after a bit of driving to use the torque.

When you put it in L from D while in tow/haul, it puts you in the lowest gear/highest rpm at or under 3200rpm instead of just going to the current gear. Thats annoying when you want to do manual downshifts down a hill or hold a lower gear for pulling hills. The grade braking is awesome but I found myself going in and out of it on a windy 7% grade because Id slow too much and have to give it throttle. If I shifted it myself, Id never have to hit the brakes. Sum bitch will rev to 4200rpm and damn near put you through the windshield.

The benefits of the 10 speed far outweighs the little quirks I noticed though. It keeps this sucker right in the power band on hills. First gear really gets the load moving easy from a dead stop. It seems to play real well with the power.

I feel like its picked up some power as well. It was pulling hills better on the way back than Monday. The camera views are awesome. You turn the blinker on in tow/haul and it shows a side view of the truck/trailer on the deck in your typical blind spot. The truck stays cold too. I only heard the fan one time and it wasnt even when I had pulled a big grade. Stayed around 180ish most the time and hit 210 once. Trans never went over 178*. The onboard trailer features are nice too!

Interior pics (sorry, its dark out)

The leg room back there is ridiculous

The trailer stuff that comes up once you plug it in
